We are the Dawoodi Bohra community of Lahore
Known as the city of gardens, Lahore has been home to the Dawoodi Bohra community since the early 1800s. An industrial and commercial hub, Lahore offers numerous educational and economic opportunities and has more than 10 million residents who have arrived in search of greener pastures.
Dawoodi Bohras have lived in the city for more than 200 years. Today, 57 families consisting of 225 members comprise the Bohra community in Lahore.
Nearly one-third of this group are business people. The rest are employed as professionals and consultants across the IT and education sectors. They congregate at Badri Masjid located on Mozang Road.
The late Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin visited the city on various occasions and was presented with the ‘key to the city’ in 1984.
